Since 2017, Rachel has helped bring the character of restaurants and events to life through photography. Her background as an award-winning blogger gives her a storyteller’s eye: she looks beyond the finished dish to capture the details, people, and atmosphere that make each place memorable.

At Chonky Cat Media, Rachel works closely with her business partner, Joey Cheng, a DMV-based videographer. Together, they offer clients a coordinated photography and videography team with a shared understanding of the hospitality world. From a restaurant’s newest dishes to the moments that make an event special, they create thoughtful visuals that feel true to each client.

When she’s not behind the camera, Rachel enjoys cooking for friends, traveling, long walks by the water, and getting lost in fantasy and science fiction—especially while working on her own YA fantasy-adventure novel.
